Nancy lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband Patrick and a houseful of stuffed dragons who guard the door and keep the dust bunnies at bay. Other short stories, “The Secrets of the Sibyl” (a Gothic tale set in ancient Rome) and “Saint Nick and the Fir Tree” (a whimsical holiday tale for grown-ups who still believe in magic), are available on Amazon and other online outlets. She has published two short stories, The Secret of the Red Mullet and The Secrets of the Sibyl. Her novel CHIMERA, a contemporary fantasy set in Paris, was a finalist for the 2013 Daphne Du Maurier award in the category of unpublished mainstream. Nancy writes historical mysteries set in Late Antiquity. Another short story, “The Black Cat,” won the 2014 award for best Halloween story submitted to Kings River Life Magazine, and can be read online via the link on her website. Her first publication, “The Secret of the Red Mullet,” was selected for the anthology FISH TALES (Wildside Press, 2011), and tells the story of a young sister and brother in ancient Rome who follow the trail of a mysterious amulet spit up by their cat. A freelance editor and former librarian, Nancy writes mysteries and fantasy for adults and kids.
